Why Hormone Testing Should Be the Foundation of Your Wellness Plan
By Joshua G. Crampton, Founder
At MultiGen Wellness Online, we combine the expertise of traditional endocrinology with advanced blood panels and testing to optimize your endocrine system, promoting balance and enhancing overall well-being.
It’s remarkable to me that more people aren’t proactive about their hormone health. Yearly blood tests and screenings should be as fundamental to everyone’s wellness plan as routine dental cleanings and annual physical exams.
We all know the importance of getting our teeth cleaned every six months and having a physical every year, but how often do you think about checking your hormones? For me, hormone testing wasn’t something I considered until I had an emergency at the age of 27. I had never realized just how critical hormone health is until I was faced with an issue that couldn’t be ignored.
When I was 27, I suffered a gym injury—a torn muscle in my chest. Week after week, I nursed the injury, hoping it would heal, but it never did. After a month of constant pain, I knew something was wrong. That’s when I decided to get my testosterone levels checked, and I drove to the Low T Center on Woodlands Parkway. I paid the $35 fee and had my testosterone tested. The results came back with my testosterone level under 400, which was confirmed as the cause of my muscle’s failure to heal. I learned that low testosterone was likely the reason the injury happened in the first place.
Since then, I’ve been on hormone therapy, and I get my full hormonal panel checked every 90 days. The more I’ve learned about hormonal health, the more I wonder why more adults aren’t regularly testing their hormones. Statistics show that 80% of adults over the age of 20 have some form of bodily system imbalance, whether it’s hormones, vitamins, or nutrition.
Hormone Testing and Its Benefits
Adults should be proactive about testing and prevention, rather than waiting until there’s an injury or emergency like I did. Hormone panels are now more accessible, affordable, and easier to obtain than ever before.
At MultiGen Wellness, we offer a comprehensive blood panel that covers over 20 biomarkers. This extensive test provides our doctors with invaluable insights into your body’s functioning and allows us to develop a personalized plan to restore balance.
For men the base tests are:
A. Estrogen
B. Testosterone
For women the base tests are:
