Review of Hormone Therapy Clinics in America: A Founder’s Perspective
Let’s start by addressing the wide range of uses for the term “Hormone Therapy.” In this article, we’re focusing on treatments such as TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy), Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy, and various steroid cycles—along with the many slang terms used to describe the practice of studying hormones for optimization and balance.
Who is MultiGen?
I’m Joshua G. Crampton, founder of MultiGen Wellness and MultiGen Brands, an online endocrinology clinic dedicated to hormone therapy and human optimization. My journey began in bodybuilding and nutritional coaching, which naturally led me into the world of endocrinology.
The beauty of building a company is that you can design everything—the services, the customer care model, the patient experience—exactly how you want. And that’s exactly what I did. After being a patient of hormone therapy for over a decade, going through countless local clinics, and even filing a lawsuit against SynergeneX for malpractice, I decided to create a clinic that would truly help people with compassion and care.

The Standard “Testosterone Depot” in America: What Are the Local Options for Men?
I’ll be upfront: I’m a bit biased, as I’m speaking about my direct competitors. However, I’ll provide an honest and respectful comparison.
For a man living in a suburban area looking for hormone therapy, the options can feel abundant—but they’re also quite limited in scope. In nearly every major city, you’ll find a “cornerstore testosterone depot.” But, frankly, most of them are doing the same thing.
Here’s a quick rundown of some of the major players:
- Low-T Center: They offer an introductory testosterone shot for $35 and administer 1-2 weekly in-office shots for $25/shot. They promote some additional services like Peptides, HGH, and HCG, but they don’t focus on full endocrinology. They primarily test for testosterone and nothing more.
- SynergeneX: Similar to the Low-T Center, they offer a testosterone test for $25 and provide weekly shots for $25/shot. Again, they promote some optimization services like Peptides and HGH, but they only test for testosterone—not a comprehensive assessment of the endocrine system.
- GameDay Men’s Health: This clinic follows the same general setup as the others: an introductory shot for $35 and weekly shots for $25/shot. Like the others, they offer peptides, HGH, and HCG but are not focused on testing or treating the whole endocrine system.
- Men’s T Clinics: Nearly identical to the other three, offering the same price points and treatment models.
The Frustration of Men in America
The frustration is palpable. Men are frustrated. Women are frustrated. Society’s shift to polarize the effects of the testosterone deficit dilemma has been staggering. Over the past 50+ years, the average testosterone levels in men have dropped by 1% per year. That means a 16-year-old today has only about half the testosterone that a 16-year-old had 50-60 years ago.
This drop is concerning. But how has this affected society? What are the root causes? And how can we address this issue?
Look around, and you’ll see the cultural patterns: society seems to minimize the masculine male and elevate the masculine female. That’s the result of living in a world where men have about half the testosterone they need.
One of the main problems with the treatment protocols offered by many local clinics is that they fail to address the full scope of endocrinology. Hormones are intricately linked, and if we’re going to help people optimize their health, we must look at the entire hormonal system—not just one or two hormones in isolation.
The Importance of Comprehensive Hormonal Testing
You can’t just treat testosterone in isolation. You MUST test the entire endocrine system. At MultiGen, our introductory hormone test covers over 20 biomarkers across the endocrine system.
Why is this so important? An imbalanced thyroid or adrenal glands can cause symptoms similar to those of low testosterone. If you’re only testing testosterone, how can you ethically treat someone? At MultiGen, we believe in treating the whole system.
Let me tell you why MultiGen was born. My own experience with local clinics left me with a misdiagnosis, and it almost cost me my health. I had symptoms that weren’t being addressed, and my testosterone was the only hormone that was being treated. But my issues went much deeper—my thyroid, adrenal glands, and cortisol levels were out of balance. Yet, instead of listening to me and testing those hormones, my practitioner just raised my testosterone dosage. The result? I ended up sick, in the hospital, and eventually in a courtroom, settling a malpractice lawsuit. All because the practitioner, was not treating my whole endocrine system only 1 part.
