A friend and I were recently discussing the modern dating scene when she mentioned something peculiar: in cities like Houston, Los Angeles, Denver, and even San Francisco, she’s noticed fewer men sporting facial hair or long hair. Whether this observation reflects a real trend or just her imagination, it got me thinking about how these features—especially beards—are often associated with masculinity.
