Massachusetts Hormone Therapy, From Boston to the Berkshires

Massachusetts treats a telemedicine visit as the practice of medicine in the state whenever the patient is physically here, and it holds that care to the same standard as an office visit. That is the frame for Massachusetts hormone therapy with MultiGen Wellness: real medical care, taken from home in Worcester, Pittsfield, or Hyannis instead of a waiting room in Boston.

We help men with signs of low testosterone, such as low energy, a fading sex drive, or slower recovery. We also help women in perimenopause or menopause who are dealing with hot flashes, night sweats, or poor sleep. A licensed provider reviews your lab results and health history with you by video before anything is prescribed.

It is $247 to start, which includes your first provider visit, then $97 per visit. Lab work and any medication are billed separately. Read about testosterone therapy for men or hormone therapy for women, then request your consult or call 1-800-259-0015.

Serving Patients Throughout Massachusetts

Massachusetts sets a relentless pace — biotech and finance in Boston and Cambridge, hospitals and universities everywhere you look. Even here, a hormone consult can mean weeks on a waitlist. MultiGen Wellness delivers provider-led testosterone, hormone, and weight-loss care statewide by telehealth, with labs at a nearby lab and medications shipped to your door.

Hormone Therapy for Massachusetts Adults

Whether you are in a Kendall Square lab or working nights at a Boston hospital, hormone balance shapes energy, sleep, and drive. Massachusetts patients start with comprehensive bloodwork, review it with a licensed provider on a $97 visit, and begin a protocol built around their results — no waiting room, no waitlist.

Massachusetts Telemedicine Rules and Resources

Who licenses clinicians. The Board of Registration in Medicine (BORIM) licenses and disciplines Massachusetts physicians. Physician assistants are licensed by a separate Board of Registration of Physician Assistants.

Telemedicine policy. BORIM’s Policy 2020-01, amended October 6, 2022, says a physician is practicing medicine in Massachusetts when the patient is physically located in the state. Except where another law says otherwise, no face-to-face visit is required before care by telemedicine, and the standard of care is the same as for an in-person visit.

Prescription monitoring. The state’s Prescription Monitoring Program, used through the MassPAT system, tracks Schedule II through V prescriptions statewide. That range covers testosterone, which federal law places in Schedule III.

Lab work. Lab work for Massachusetts hormone therapy starts with an order from your provider. Our team then points you to a nearby patient service center that accepts it, whether you live in Greater Boston, Worcester County, the Pioneer Valley, on the South Coast, on the Cape, or in the Berkshires.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is hormone therapy available in Massachusetts?

New-Patient Special: $247 enrollment — includes your first provider visit.

Yes. MultiGen Wellness offers telehealth hormone therapy in Massachusetts. Residents of Worcester, Springfield, Cambridge, and every other Massachusetts community can access our telehealth hormone therapy program.

Does insurance, HSA, or FSA cover treatment?

MultiGen Wellness is a self-pay practice. We do not bill insurance and do not accept HSA or FSA cards for services.

How soon will I see results?

Many patients report improved energy, mood, and sleep within the first few weeks of treatment, with fuller results typically developing over 2–3 months as hormone levels stabilize.

Do I need an in-person exam before starting care?

Not as a general rule under state policy. The Board of Registration in Medicine’s telemedicine policy says a face-to-face encounter is not required before care by telemedicine, except where another law requires one, and the standard of care stays the same either way. Federal law adds a layer for testosterone, which is a controlled medication: a temporary DEA and HHS rule currently allows it to be prescribed by telemedicine without a prior in-person visit through December 31, 2026.

How can I check a provider’s Massachusetts license?

For physicians, use the state’s FindMyDoctor.mass.gov profiles. A full licensee’s profile may show specialty, medical school, residency training, and any Board discipline or malpractice payments reported to the Board. Physician assistants are licensed by their own board, so check there for a PA. Our guide to whether online TRT is safe and legit lists other questions worth asking.

I live on the Cape or in the Berkshires. Where can I get labs?

Closer to home than you might expect. There are patient service centers on the Cape, including in Hyannis and Falmouth, and in Pittsfield in the Berkshires. Mention your town during your consult, and our team will match you with a site that takes your order. If testosterone is on your panel, MedlinePlus notes the blood is usually drawn in the morning, between 7 and 10, when levels tend to be highest. See which tests a hormone panel includes.

When is menopause hormone therapy most likely to help?

Timing matters. According to Mayo Clinic, the benefits may outweigh the risks for women who start before age 60 or within 10 years of menopause, and systemic estrogen is the most effective treatment for hot flashes and night sweats. Starting later can raise the risk of serious complications. A licensed provider weighs your age, history, and symptoms with you. Learn how menopause care by telehealth works.

What will care cost?

It is $247 to start, which includes your first provider visit, and then $97 per visit after that. Lab work and any medication are billed separately, so ask our team about those costs before you begin. Whether a Massachusetts health plan helps with any part of care depends on the plan. Our article on whether insurance covers TRT explains how coverage usually works.
