New Jersey Hormone Therapy That Fits a Commuter Schedule

Between the Turnpike, NJ Transit, and a workday that may end in Manhattan or Philadelphia, few people in New Jersey have time for extra appointments. New Jersey hormone therapy with MultiGen Wellness moves the visits online, so there is no waiting room to sit in. We help men with symptoms of low testosterone and women working through perimenopause and menopause.

You begin with a consult with our team, then get a blood draw at a patient service center close to home or work. A licensed provider reviews your labs and history with you over video and, if treatment is appropriate, builds your plan. Your medication ships to your door, and follow-up visits keep your dosing on track.

Your cost is $247 to start, which includes your first provider visit, then $97 per visit. Read up on TRT for men or HRT for women, then request a consult or call 1-800-259-0015.

Hormone Therapy in New Jersey: What to Know

The telemedicine law. New Jersey’s telemedicine statute (N.J.S.A. 45:1-62, first enacted as P.L.2017, c.117 and updated by P.L.2021, c.310) requires anyone treating you by telemedicine to hold a New Jersey license and keeps them under New Jersey jurisdiction. Care must meet the same standard as an in-person visit, and if it cannot, the provider must direct you to in-person care. Before a first visit, the provider must review your medical history and any records you supply.

Who you see. When you request a telehealth visit, you must be told it may be with a provider who is not a physician and that you can ask for a physician. The provider’s identity, credentials, and contact information must also be made available to you.

Licenses and monitoring. Physicians are licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners, and you can check a license in the Division of Consumer Affairs License Verification System. Under P.L.2007, c.244, the state’s Prescription Monitoring Program tracks controlled dangerous substances dispensed in or into New Jersey by outpatient pharmacies.

Where to get labs. Another national lab lists locations in more than 100 New Jersey communities, and other national-lab patient service centers are spread across the state, so our team will point you to the closest draw site. Lab billing can differ by state, so ask us how your blood work will be billed before your draw.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is hormone therapy available in New Jersey?

New-Patient Special: $247 enrollment — includes your first provider visit.

Yes — MultiGen Wellness providers are licensed to treat patients throughout New Jersey, from Newark and Jersey City to smaller towns statewide. All care is delivered through secure, convenient telehealth visits.

Does insurance, HSA, or FSA cover treatment?

MultiGen Wellness is a self-pay practice. We do not bill insurance and do not accept HSA or FSA cards for services.

Do I need to visit an office in Trenton?

No. Every visit is conducted by telehealth. The only in-person step is a routine lab draw at a national lab location near you in New Jersey — no office visit required.

How soon will I see results?

Many patients report improved energy, mood, and sleep within the first few weeks of treatment, with fuller results typically developing over 2–3 months as hormone levels stabilize.

Can someone prescribe testosterone after I fill out an online form?

Not in New Jersey. State law says a provider may not issue a prescription based solely on answers to an online static questionnaire unless a proper provider-patient relationship has been established, and it holds telemedicine prescribing to the same standard of care as an office visit. Testosterone is also covered by federal DEA telemedicine rules. Current DEA and HHS flexibilities that let it be prescribed by telemedicine without a prior in-person exam run through December 31, 2026. With MultiGen Wellness, a licensed provider reviews your labs and history and meets with you by video before any treatment decision. See what makes online TRT safe and legit.

What if I have a question after my telehealth visit?

New Jersey law covers this. The contact information you receive must let you reach the provider who treated you, or a substitute acting for them, for at least 72 hours after the visit. Your visit notes go into your medical record and, if you ask, can be forwarded directly to your primary care provider. If you do not have one, the provider must help you find one nearby if you ask. Save the contact details from your visit.

When should I get my blood drawn if I commute?

Before work, if you can. Cleveland Clinic notes that a total testosterone test usually requires two separate morning samples, when levels should be at their highest, and that being sick can temporarily lower testosterone. With national-lab sites in so many New Jersey towns, an early draw near home or your train station is often easy to schedule. Our guide to testosterone levels by age helps you read the numbers.

Will my testosterone prescription be reported to the New Jersey PMP?

It should be. The Prescription Monitoring Program covers controlled dangerous substances dispensed in or into the state by outpatient pharmacies, and testosterone is a Schedule III controlled substance under federal law. Pharmacies report details such as the drug name, strength, quantity, prescriber, and source of payment. The law requires the state to keep procedures that protect patient privacy and confidentiality, including a password-protected system, and limits who can access the data.

What are the risks of menopause hormone therapy?

They are real, and they depend on you. Mayo Clinic says that for some women, hormone therapy may raise the risk of heart disease, stroke, blood clots, breast cancer, gallbladder disease, or endometrial cancer. Those risks vary with your age, time since menopause, the type and dose of hormones, and your health history. That is why a licensed provider reviews your history first.
