Vermont Hormone Therapy, From Burlington to the Northeast Kingdom
Vermont hormone therapy by telehealth means fewer winter drives on back roads just to see a specialist. Whether you are in Chittenden County, the Northeast Kingdom or a small town in the Green Mountains, we help men explore testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) when signs of low testosterone show up, and help women in perimenopause and menopause weigh hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
Once treatment starts, periodic labs and visits let your provider monitor how you respond and adjust your plan. To see each step from your first consult onward, read our guide on how to get a TRT prescription online.
Pricing is straightforward: $247 to start (includes your first provider visit), then $97 per visit. Request your consult or call 1-800-259-0015.

How Vermont Oversees Telehealth Care
The Vermont Board of Medical Practice follows the national rule that medicine is practiced where the patient is located, as its telemedicine policy explains. For you, that means:
- Vermont authorization. A clinician without a full Vermont license needs a Vermont telehealth credential: from the Board for MD physicians and physician assistants (26 V.S.A. chapter 56), or from the Office of Professional Regulation for osteopathic physicians, nurses and other professions. These credentials cover telehealth only.
- No questionnaire-only care. Under 26 V.S.A. Section 1354(a)(33), prescribing in response to an electronic request is unprofessional conduct unless the licensee makes a reasonable effort to verify your identity, establishes a documented diagnosis and maintains a current medical record. A questionnaire alone is inadequate for an initial evaluation.
- Prescription monitoring. The Vermont Prescription Monitoring System collects Schedule II through IV prescriptions dispensed by Vermont-licensed pharmacies, a range that includes testosterone, which the DEA lists in Schedule III.
Labs. In Vermont, our national lab partner lists a patient service center in Rutland. With few national lab sites in the state, our care team will confirm a draw site that accepts your lab order before you book.
Hormone Therapy Across Vermont: A Regional Guide
Across the Green Mountain State, MultiGen Wellness brings provider-led hormone therapy to every community online — no long drive over the mountains required.
Greater Burlington. Burlington and Chittenden County anchor the state’s largest market, with a health-conscious, active population that values convenient telehealth.
Central Vermont. Montpelier, Barre, and the surrounding communities gain access to specialty care that can be scarce locally.
Rural & Southern Vermont. The many small mountain towns benefit most from an online model that reaches everywhere.
Vermont’s long, dark winters are known for draining energy — a burden hormonal imbalance can compound. Every patient gets a free online consult, labs at a nearby lab, and treatment shipped to the door.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is hormone therapy available in Vermont?
New-Patient Special: $247 enrollment — includes your first provider visit.
Yes. MultiGen Wellness offers telehealth hormone therapy in Vermont. Residents of Burlington, South Burlington, Rutland, and every other Vermont community can access our telehealth hormone therapy program.
Does insurance, HSA, or FSA cover treatment?
MultiGen Wellness is a self-pay practice. We do not bill insurance and do not accept HSA or FSA cards for services.
Do I need to visit an office in Montpelier?
No. Every visit is conducted by telehealth. The only in-person step is a routine lab draw at a national lab location near you in Vermont — no office visit required.
How soon will I see results?
Many patients report improved energy, mood, and sleep within the first few weeks of treatment, with fuller results typically developing over 2–3 months as hormone levels stabilize.
Can a clinician based outside Vermont treat me?
Yes, with the right Vermont credential. An MD physician or physician assistant without a full Vermont license can hold a Board of Medical Practice telehealth license, which covers up to 20 unique Vermont patients per two-year term, or a telehealth registration, which covers up to 10 patients over 120 days. As of October 2026, osteopathic physicians, nurses and other professionals regulated by the Office of Professional Regulation use an interim telehealth registration until permanent rules take effect. None of these credentials allows in-person care in Vermont.
Which Vermont board licenses my provider?
It depends on the profession. The Board of Medical Practice licenses MD physicians and physician assistants, and its Look Up a Health Professional page lists them; its rosters count as primary-source verification. Osteopathic physicians and nurses, including nurse practitioners, are licensed through the Office of Professional Regulation, whose Find a Professional search shows license status, dates and disciplinary information.
I live near the New Hampshire or New York line. Where should I be during visits?
Plan to join from Vermont. The Board’s telemedicine policy treats care as happening where the patient is located at the time of the visit, so where you are during the call matters. If you work across the river in New Hampshire or will be traveling, tell our team ahead of time so your video visit can be set for a time when you are in Vermont.
Can I see my own controlled substance prescription history?
Yes. The Vermont Department of Health accepts requests for an individual’s own record from the Vermont Prescription Monitoring System, the state database for controlled substance prescriptions filled at Vermont-licensed pharmacies. Testosterone, a Schedule III anabolic steroid, is included.
What does monitoring look like during the first year of TRT?
The Endocrine Society guideline recommends a standardized plan: checking symptoms, side effects and how you are using your medication, measuring testosterone and hematocrit, and evaluating prostate cancer risk during the first year. It suggests aiming for testosterone in the mid-normal range. Read more on the optimal testosterone level on TRT and common TRT side effects.
