West Virginia Hormone Therapy Across the Mountain State
In West Virginia, the nearest specialist can be a long drive on winding two-lane roads. With MultiGen Wellness, care starts at home instead, with a consult and video visits that fit around shift work, family and the miles between towns like Beckley, Elkins and Wheeling.
Our care is built for two groups. Men with fatigue, low drive or other signs of low testosterone can learn whether testosterone replacement therapy fits. Women facing perimenopause or menopause symptoms can explore hormone therapy for women.
Lab work is the one step that may take a real drive. The national lab we order through does not list any patient service centers in West Virginia, so you may need to plan a blood draw in a neighboring state. After your draw, a licensed provider reviews your results and health history with you by video. If treatment is appropriate, your medication is mailed to your home. West Virginia law also calls for an in-person visit within 12 months for established patients, as explained below.
$247 to start (includes your first provider visit), then $97 per visit. To begin, request your consult or call 1-800-259-0015.
Serving Patients Throughout West Virginia
West Virginia mountains and winding roads can put a hormone specialist a long drive away. MultiGen Wellness closes that gap, delivering provider-led testosterone, hormone, and weight-loss care from Charleston to Morgantown and the rural hollows between, entirely by telehealth, with medications shipped to your door.
Hormone Therapy for West Virginia Adults
Whether you work in the energy trades or the growing Morgantown university economy, low energy and slow recovery are worth measuring. West Virginia patients complete labs at a nearby lab, meet a licensed provider on a $97 telehealth visit, and start a protocol built around their results — no long mountain drive.

Hormone Therapy in West Virginia: What to Know
West Virginia writes its telemedicine rules into statute. For MDs and podiatrists, W. Va. Code § 30-3-13a says:
- Medicine is practiced where the patient is located at the time of the visit.
- A new physician-patient relationship can be formed by real-time video or a real-time audio-only call (video is preferred), but not by email, text messaging or an internet questionnaire.
- The physician must verify your identity and location and get your consent to the use of telemedicine.
- Treatment or a prescription based solely on an online questionnaire does not meet the standard of care. The section also limits prescribing Schedule II controlled substances through telemedicine alone.
Clinicians in other states can apply to the West Virginia Board of Medicine for an Interstate Telehealth Registration under W. Va. Code § 30-1-26. It is not a full license and covers telehealth to West Virginia patients only. The same law directs boards to require that an established patient visit an in-person health care practitioner within 12 months of the first telemedicine service, or telemedicine is no longer available to that patient until the visit happens. A few services are exempt, and the practitioner may suspend the requirement case by case.
The Board’s public search covers doctors and PAs, and the Board posts lists of registrations issued. Osteopathic physicians fall under the separate West Virginia Board of Osteopathic Medicine, and nurse practitioners (APRNs) are licensed by the West Virginia RN Board.
Hormone Therapy Across West Virginia: A Regional Guide
Across the Mountain State, MultiGen Wellness delivers provider-led hormone therapy entirely online — a real advantage in a state where specialty clinics can be far apart.
Charleston & the Kanawha Valley. The capital region anchors the state’s largest market, where at-home care removes the burden of long mountain drives.
Morgantown & North-Central West Virginia. The university community and surrounding areas value convenient, ongoing hormone care.
The Eastern Panhandle & Beyond. Huntington, Parkersburg, and the many rural communities across the state gain access they’d otherwise have to travel hours to reach.
Every West Virginia patient gets a free online consult, labs at a nearby lab, and treatment shipped to the door.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is hormone therapy available in West Virginia?
New-Patient Special: $247 enrollment — includes your first provider visit.
Yes. MultiGen Wellness treats patients across the entire state of West Virginia, including Huntington, Morgantown, and Parkersburg, all through secure telehealth visits with a licensed provider.
Does insurance, HSA, or FSA cover treatment?
MultiGen Wellness is a self-pay practice. We do not bill insurance and do not accept HSA or FSA cards for services.
How soon will I see results?
Many patients report improved energy, mood, and sleep within the first few weeks of treatment, with fuller results typically developing over 2–3 months as hormone levels stabilize.
Can a phone call start my care in West Virginia?
State law allows a new physician-patient relationship to be formed through a real-time audio-only call, though it says audio-visual communication is preferable when available. Email, text messages and internet questionnaires cannot start that relationship. For testosterone, federal rules are narrower: the DEA and HHS temporary telemedicine flexibilities, which allow Schedule II-V medications to be prescribed without a prior in-person exam, cover audio-video visits, not phone-only calls, and currently run through December 31, 2026 (Federal Register). MultiGen Wellness holds provider visits by video, which lets your provider see you and walk through your lab results with you face to face.
Will I need an in-person visit at some point?
Plan on it. Under W. Va. Code § 30-1-26, the telehealth standard of care for an established patient includes a visit with an in-person health care practitioner within 12 months of the first telemedicine service. Without that visit, telemedicine is no longer available until one takes place. A few services, such as palliative care and behavioral medicine, are exempt, and the practitioner may suspend the requirement case by case. The law refers to an in-person health care practitioner, which can include your own local doctor.
What is an Interstate Telehealth Registration?
It is a West Virginia Board of Medicine authorization that lets an MD, podiatric physician or PA licensed in another state provide telehealth to patients in West Virginia. To qualify, the clinician must hold an active license in good standing in every state where they are licensed, with no pending complaint or open investigation elsewhere. It is not a full West Virginia license and does not allow in-person practice in the state.
Is there a lab draw site in West Virginia?
Not on the national lab we order through, which lists no patient service centers in the state. Sites just over the border include Hagerstown, Maryland, and Winchester, Virginia, near the Eastern Panhandle, and Uniontown and Washington, Pennsylvania, within reach of Morgantown and Wheeling. From Charleston, Huntington or Beckley, any listed site is a longer trip, for example Christiansburg, Virginia, or Circleville, Ohio. Our care team will confirm a site that accepts your lab order before you go, and our guide to TRT blood work tests explains what the draw covers.
Can my local doctor see my telehealth visit notes?
Yes, with your consent. Under § 30-3-13a, a physician who cares for you only through telemedicine must make documentation of each visit easily available to you and, with your permission, to any care provider you name. The same confidentiality and record-access laws that cover office visits apply. Keeping your family doctor informed also helps when you review possible TRT side effects together.
